Public outcry against 'human vulture'

Who would do such a callous, low-down thing?
That is the question many people in Brunei, astonished beyond disbel-ief, are asking this week.
And why? It is because of the horrid image of a young identified woman who stole from the dead and the dying soon after a horrendous car crash last week involving Brunei vehicles.
She was seen quiet unconcernedly collecting valuables and mobile phones from the victims and pocketing them and coolly walking away from the scene.
Apparently, she did not even attempt to render any sort of aid to the victims.
A video clip of this callousness, captured on camera, has gone around the world on video sharing web site, YouTube, this week.
Five people died in what could be one of the most horrific road accidents involving holidaying Brunei motorists in a neighbouring border state last week shocking many here.
However, what outraged some here is the thoughtless act of this young woman. "It's hard to imagine anyone who would do such a thing," said a deeply disappointed Bruneian woman.
Others asked: "Have we gone down so low in our materialistic greed to such a degree as to forget leaving any basic sense of human values at all?"
But, it was comforting to note that it was only just one person among a large crowd that had gathered at the scene of the tragedy, who had stooped to this dastardly act.
The immediate response was who and what sort of person would do such a thing?
Obviously, a most misguided person.
Let us only hope that we would not be so unfortunate as to come up with someone of this sort in the hour of our need.

Wudhuk zahir dan batin

~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~
Seorang ahli ibadah bernama Isam Bin Yusuf, sangat warak dan khusyuk
solatnya. Namun, dia selalu khuatir kalau-kalau ibadahnya kurang khusyuk
dan selalu bertanya kepada orang yang dianggapnya lebih ibadahnya, demi
untuk memperbaiki dirinya yang selalu dirasainya kurang khusyuk.

Pada suatu hari, Isam menghadiri majlis seorang abid bernama Hatim
Al-Assam dan bertanya, "Wahai Aba Abdurrahman, bagaimanakah
caranya tuan solat?"

Hatim berkata,
"Apabila masuk waktu solat, aku berwudhuk zahir dan batin.">
Isam bertanya, "Bagaimana wudhuk zahir dan batin itu? " Hatim
berkata,"Wudhuk zahir sebagaimana biasa iaitu membasuh semua
anggota wudhuk dengan air".
Sementara wudhuk batin ialah membasuh anggota dengan tujuh
perkara :-

* Bertaubat
* Menyesali dosa yang telah dilakukan
* Tidak tergila-gilakan dunia
* Tidak mencari/mengharap pujian orang (riya ' )
* Tinggalkan sifat berbangga
* Tinggalkan sifat khianat dan menipu
* Meninggalkan sifat dengki."

Seterusnya Hatim berkata, "Kemudian aku pergi ke masjid, aku
kemaskan semua anggotaku dan menghadap kiblat.

Aku berdiri dengan penuh kewaspadaan dan aku rasakan:
1. aku sedang berhadapan dengan Allah,
2. Syurga di sebelah kananku,
3. Neraka di sebelah kiriku,
4. Malaikat Maut berada di belakangku, dan
5. aku bayangkan pula aku seolah-olah berdiri di atas titian
' Siratal mustaqim ' dan menganggap bahawa solatku kali ini
adalah solat terakhir bagiku, kemudian aku berniat dan
bertakbir dengan baik."

"Setiap bacaan dan doa didalam solat, aku faham maknanya
kemudian aku rukuk dan sujud dengan tawadhuk, aku bertasyahud
dengan penuh
pengharapan dan aku memberi salam dengan ikhlas. Beginilah aku
bersolat selama 30 tahun."

Apabila Isam mendengar, menangislah dia kerana membayangkan
ibadahnya yang kurang baik bila dibandingkan dengan Hatim.

Information Desk

Dear Loyal Readers,

Just for your information:

I might not be able to update my blog as often as I did before for the next 5 months. The only straight reason is because I need to write my daily activities in my LOG BOOK instead of BLOG. Hehe… So yeah, just bear with me. I’ll try to update whenever I’m free from works. I’m now undergoing my Supervised Work Experience (SWE) at CSPS.

1st Day~

CSPS

Read it. Done!

Waiting...

Yesterday was the day.

The first day I stepped in CSPS.

The first person I saw, Cheng.

She welcomes me with her charm.

Rina stepped in and says hello!

She took me for a VERY short tour.

After all, CSPS’s office is just a small office.

It is located on the 3^rd Floor.

Stairs are the only way you can use.

YES! NO ELEVATOR just STAIRS.

So don’t be so sadistic.

Exercise people.

Caroline stepped into the meeting room with Rina and Cheng.

They kinda interviewed me and a colleague, Hamdillah from CIS Dept.

I thought I was alone but I was wrong.

With me there are two students from CIS Dept, Ham and Zakwan.

But apparently Zakwan has do wait till his resit’s result out.

Meet other CSPS colleague Yusrin, Bayhaqi and Jerold.

All of them are very welcoming.

I got my own table. With 22’ Wide Screen LCD Monitor.

Nice…

But currently I sat somewhere else. Sigh.

First job, finding issues from the newspapers for research.

Mainly on Education Policy, Economic Diversification, Social Security, Youth & Unemployment.

In addition, Food & Energy (oil and gas) to be included.

Skipped that first.

Retyping booklists to the Microsoft Excel.

Lots of it.

Brought them home and almost finish it.

Finalizing the booklists today. DONE!

Continue finding issues.

Have lunch with Aiira and Nicholas today at Jollibee.

Good Luck

Tomorrow is the day.
28th July is the day.
The day SWE starts.
The day I'll start working.
Working again.
As a government servant now.
CSPS is where I'm heading.
Centre for Strategic and Policy Studies.
Alone.
As a Business Management student
From ITB.
A huge name.
What we bring represent ITB.
Be careful.

Night Out @ Bandar with LT12 Family

Last night went out with some of the Lt12 Family. We went to heart of the country, Bandar Seri Begawan to watch Tanglung and Decorated Cars. Marwan & Ehwan fetched me up around 5.40pm right few mins after I came home from ITB after the Orientation closing ceremony. We parked at Batu Satu just near to Utama Bowling Building. We've been parking there for the past few years. And it is fun. The girls, Zimah, Har, Hami and Cdah waited for us infront of the Dewan Pustaka Building. Upon arrival we stopped by SOAS Mosque for Maghrib prayer. Ater that we went to Gerai Kianggeh to have our dinner before watching the Tanglung. Satay and Ketupat is always the best. Hehe.. Then after we have our dinner, the fireworks started. Then we went around bandar which was fulled with crowds. Then we walked to the gerai infront of the Royal Regalia Building. & there's more people there as expected.. The night was really beautiful with all the fireworks. It's just perfect. and fun. Thanks guys for the night. Went home around 10.30pm.

Lala, Azza and Aron wasn't able to join us due to some reasons. Girls you miss the fun :p
